What You Need to Know
Clarksville is one of the fastest-growing cities in Tennessee, and for good reason. It sits just outside Fort Campbell, offers affordable housing compared to most military markets, and has a community that’s done this before.
Whether you’re trying to figure out which neighborhood fits your family, which schools are worth knowing about, or what it actually costs to live here — this is where you start.
Use the links below to explore neighborhoods, school zones, and the Clarksville map before you ever set foot in Tennessee.
YOUR PCS TIMELINE
Phase 1 — 90 to 120 Days Out Start here. Request your orders, register with Fort Campbell’s Transportation Office, and begin researching neighborhoods. Decide early whether you’re looking at on-post housing or off-post — that decision drives everything else.
Phase 2 — 30 to 90 Days Out Lock in your housing plan. If you’re buying, get pre-approved now — the Clarksville market moves fast. If you’re renting, start applications early. Book your TMO move or arrange a PPM. Research schools if you have kids.
Phase 3 — Arrival Week In-process at Fort Campbell, get your vehicle decal, and do a walkthrough of your new home. Don’t skip setting up utilities before you land if you can help it.
Phase 4 — First 30 Days in Clarksville Get your family settled. Find your grocery store, your gym, your church or community anchor. Connect with other military families. Clarksville has a strong military community — you won’t have to figure it out alone.
